Title
Cross Walk
Artist
Laura Lee Zanghetti
Medium
Painting - Oil On Canvas
Description
I donated this piece to the Doug Flutie Foundation. This one took a while to do with the taxi cabs and door man and all. My composition is a little unusual too by putting the main figure off to the side like I did.

Lovely, delicate...really beautiful! Your paintings are magical, Laura. I'm a Bostonian, and spent nearly every summer at the Cape growing up, so your paintings are very evocative for me :)
Laura Lee Zanghetti replied:
So glad you enjoyed my work....you must have such fond memories of the cape. Thank you Joy!

Laura I could see why this one would take you a while to compose. All your special touches makes this painting very exciting. I love the way you show a little more of the ladies face looking behind as she's pressing the button to cross the street. The red in her purse and belt, along with the red umbrella is so clever and eye catching. Even though she is standing off to the side, due to the red purse and red belt this makes the image pop. Your umbrella ladies, make walking in the rain, look like a wonderful experience. Absolutely marvelous work! LV/FV Janet
