I painted this in a demo during the "Art in the Park" art show in Norwood, MA a couple of weeks ago. I met a lot of nice people, many who inquired as to whether I teach. So many that I'm giving it some thought. This piece is done on a 6 x 8 piece of hardboard that I paint black first, including the sides. It can be hung on the wall as is without framing or it looks great on a little easel.
As you can see by the majority of Laura's work, seascapes and figurative work are what she is most passionate about. Her Umbrella Series is also a particular favorite of hers and her clients. Laura's new series of Shabby Chic florals is a big hit with her students and clients. She paints full time and enjoys a number of different techniques and styles of painting in her home studio in Walpole MA. Presently you can see Laura and her work at the "Artist's Studio and Gallery at Patriot Place" in Foxboro, MA. The Gallery is open Fri. 5-9, Sat. 1-9 and Sun. 12-6.
