This is the third painting I did of this young family walking around downtown Hingham, MA. This piece took a very long time for me to complete. I kept building on the highlights to get the three D effect. This painting began on a surface that I painted black first. This is now available in High Resolution.
As you can see by the majority of Laura's work, seascapes and figurative work are what she is most passionate about. Her Umbrella Series is also a particular favorite of hers and her clients. Laura's new series of Shabby Chic florals is a big hit with her students and clients. She paints full time and enjoys a number of different techniques and styles of painting in her home studio in Walpole MA. Presently you can see Laura and her work at the "Artist's Studio and Gallery at Patriot Place" in Foxboro, MA. The Gallery is open Fri. 5-9, Sat. 1-9 and Sun. 12-6.
