Title
Flying Colors Two
Artist
Laura Lee Zanghetti
Medium
Painting - Oil On Cradled Hardboard
Description
I first did this on a 6x12 piece of hardboard. Then I did this much larger piece on an 18x36 piece of hardboard. There is a lot of pallete knife work in the water and I kept the sails smooth like silk. I love the contast. There is no need to frame this as I painted the sides black. The colors really are as you see them here. This just took 2nd prize at Marina Bay's Show in Quincy. This is now available in High Resolution.

This is spectacular, and has a 3D effect....I too like the Ocean done heavily with the pallete knife and the sails are silky spectacular. Your technique particularly on the blue and violet one is outstanding! F/L
